Justin Jedlica, the self-styled 'Human Ken Doll' who has had more than 190 cosmetic procedures in his Quixotic quest to become "100 percent plastic," says he risked going blind during a recent surgery.
The goal of the extreme operation was to get rid of veins in his forehead.
"I called them my 'Julia Roberts' veins. It was a high-risk procedure because there was a possibility I could go blind as they needed to go in through the inside of my eyelids in order to burn the veins off," Jedlica said, according to the Daily Mail.
Jedlica, who claims to have spent more than $220,000 on plastic surgery, says he's been accused of being a narcissist and of having body dysmorphic disorder. He says that's nonsense, and that he sees himself as an artist whose medium is his own body.
"For me plastic surgery is an extension of my creativity," he said. "I have a reputation of being one of the most extreme plastic surgery addicts in the world and I love continuing to push the limits... I still have a long way to go before I can say I’m 100 percent plastic."
Jedlica also had implants sown into his back during his recent operation. He says he's looking to get quadriceps and calf muscle implants within the next few years, too. That's in addition to implants he's already had put in his buttocks, belly, biceps and triceps, by the way.
Although his opinions may seem strange to most people, at least he's keeping mum on the subject of "race-mixing," unlike "Human Barbie" Valeria Lukyanova.
For the record, Jedlica isn't a huge fan of Lukyanova, although his objections are primarily aesthetic.
"I don't really get her. I don't get why people think she's so interesting," Jedlica said, according to GQ. "She has extensions. She wears stage makeup. She's an illusionist."
Jedlica isn't the only "Human Ken Doll" out there. Last year, a 20-year-old Brazilian man announced that he'd spent about $50,000 in an effort to become a "human puppet."
