Many years ago I was at a party and go separated from my ride. By the time I realized this most everyone I knew was gone. I ended up walking the 20 or so miles home. I started around 3am and got home about 8 am or so. Then I helped a friend move and then played frisbee golf.
In some of the work I have done I have walked several miles a day.

No idea but probably not walking for that longa time of just walking, when I moved here to Edinburgh I was walking around in areas I never been before and struggled finding the way home but I eventually did, think it took about 3 hours
I walked 17 miles one day. It was a nice lovely day and I missed a bus going home and decided to take the wait time to walk to the next stop. Once I got there though I decided to walk some more. I spent the next several hours walking and talking into a little voice recorder dictating a short story I was working on. I got sunburns on my shoulders but it was totally worth it. I was already used to walking a lot back then because I didn't have a car and usually walked just about everywhere. I started walking for recreation when I was a teenager.
