I was going to get all creative and insulting in the questions but I said meh.
The reason for the poll is to see how many people would relate to this bit here.
In America some people attribute our problems as a downfall from removing god for our schools. Every once in awhile I will see someone post some meme on Facebook about returning god to the schools to correct what ever evil is on their radar this week.
I have many school mates as Facebook friends and I always get a chuckle from this because of the 13 years going to the same small school district I do not recall a whole lot of god in my school. Maybe in the Christmas plays or concerts or around Easter but the only time I heard anything about god it was along the lines of "Oh god do not let me get a boner during class today".
I'm not American but I do get the sense that the US is a highly religious country, but to blame all problems on God or the lack of it in the schoolsystem is just stupid IMO. ISIS think they are doing God's work when they are doing what they do. And throughout the years there have been thousands of examples like Charles Manson claiming to work for God meanwhile supporting violence and death in his name. If anything I think less God in peoples lives might actually be a good thing, or at least give people the chance to form their own opinion on it.
In Sweden we had Religion as a subject where we went through all the religions of the world, and I think that's the best way to go about it, cause if something sticks with you you can always read into it more, why would the religion that's most true to you necessarily be from the area in which your born?
Alot of America's problems I personally think has to do with the easy access of guns and maybe the lack of parenting if they (the people you're refering to) expect God to raise their children right and give them morals and ethics instead of themselves.
