Vaccinations

Absolutely.  It'd been proven time and again that it does NOT cause autism.  And there are options to get vaccines without Thimerosal.  Many vaccines don't even have it anyways.  But those who are antivax still use that argument.  Thimerosal is one of the main reasons anti-vax supporters use to back up their reasonings.

My daughter is autistic.  She was since the day she was born.  Her shots did not make her worse. 

My kids have been fully vaccinated though have not gotten the Gardasil vaccine. I like to wait until a vaccine has been out a good long time before I sign on and I believe the Gardasil was rushed to market and will have very little effect in the long run.

They're recommending Gardasil for kids 10 and up, preferably before they become sexually active. There has been a lot of talk about reducing cervical cancer but, since it's such a slow growing cancer, it will be 20 years or more before we see if there's any real effect. They don't promise much either. It works against "some" strains of HPV that may cause cancer. Most HPV infections will resolve on their own and the ones that don't are easily treated when discovered with regular Pap screening. It's a lot of "cancer hysteria" to make a lot of money for Merck.
